H13 True HEPA Air Filter Up To 1100 sq. ft

Having owned and used several types of air purifiers, I was looking for something with the following attributes: simple to use, leverages a HEPA filtration system, effective and quiet. I wanted something we could depend on at home to clean the air - from the wildfire particulates spreading over the US and the germs. This purifier seemed to check the boxes for the criteria.

Simplicity - If I want my parents to use this too, they prefer simple to use - the controls on this were just that. Easy on/off and controls for timer, fan speed (and auto) and sleep mode. The display up front showing air quality and associated color indicator makes it easy to tell the current air quality. I can see it change when I cook in the house too so I know it is working.

HEPA Filter - The cylindrical filter on this is half the size of the purifier itself! It has the typical filter layers for pre-filter, carbon and hepa. The rated hours is on par with the other purifiers I have. I will have to see how long it really lasts and the average costs for filter replacement for a year.

Effectiveness - When initially turning this on, I was on the border of red/blue zone. The fan was running at a higher level for a while and now is in the green zone - around 30 PM2.5. So far so good.

I come back to update my review. it is so worth the money. I cook a lot at home since the Covid-19. This purifier keeps my 2nd-floor odorless. It runs every day and still running well and effectively.
Because I am allergic to a lot of things in the air. After I read a lot of reviews, I know I need an air purifier with a HEPA filter. The ordinary air purifier is not very effective. The air purifier uses pure mechanical filtration instead of UVC lamps, so ozone and negative ions are not generated. Another good thing about this machine is that it has a display screen that lets me know the air quality around me. Red-bad, blue-ok, and green-good! It is easy for me to understand. It works very quietly, especially when I sleep at night, I can't hear any sound with sleeping mode, which is very important for me who has a bad sleep. Since there was a really bad wild mountain fire near my home recently, a good quality air purifier is very important. I put it in the living room during day time. I move it to my bedroom during sleep. It is not heavy to move it around. I hesitated before buying it because of the price. But, Finally, I bought it because nothing else is more important than good quality water and air.

I don't often get excited about purchasing appliances, but every time we get a new air filter, I get excited! The technology just gets better and better as time passes. We started our air filter journey with fans and washable filters. That got old quickly as they pop and are quite loud. Our next filter purchase a couple of years later was for a popular brand of fans. They work well, but due to the design, one cracked straight thru during our last move. The filter replacements are also quite pricey. We needed a new one, and this one looked good.

I like the fact that it tells you the air quality. When I tested ours, we were doing pretty well until a pan of lasagna overflowed in the over and smoke billowed. It immediately sensed the change (a jump from 15 to over 200 - higher is worse) in about 30 seconds! It ran on high for about an hour and a half to get it back down, then switched over to low. I like that there is an auto-detect mode!

Other things I like: You can see the life of your filter, looks and feels sturdy but not obnoxious, quiet!
